FOR PRO AND TEAMS

Send files from your AI assistant.

Connect Hink to an AI assistant that supports MCP, and it can send files and folders for you, ask people for theirs, and keep track of your links. Ask in plain words, as you would ask a colleague.

You, in your AI assistant

Send the renders folder to anna@studio.se with Hink, and keep the link for 7 days.

Hink replies

Uploaded the renders folder with Hink

Sent 1 folder (2.1 GB) to anna@studio.se. hink.is/[link-id] · works for 7 days. I'll tell you when she downloads it.

You, in your AI assistant

Ask ekonomi@kund.se for their Q3 receipts and tell me when they arrive.

Hink replies

Made a request with Hink

I emailed ekonomi@kund.se a link where they can upload: hink.is/r/[request-id]. I'll tell you when the receipts come in.

What is MCP?

MCP stands for Model Context Protocol. It's an open standard that lets AI assistants use other apps for you, so you can ask in a chat instead of doing it yourself.

Once you connect Hink, your assistant can do what you'd do on the website:

  • Send files and folders as one link, or email them to people
  • Choose how long a link works, and put a password on it
  • Ask people for files with a request link, and see what has come in
  • Check who has downloaded, and remind the people who haven't
  • Give a link more time, or delete it when you're done

It uses your Hink account, so everything it sends is in your transfers, and your plan's limits apply.

Set up in three steps

  1. Create a key

    Open Settings, then API keys, and create a key for your assistant. You see the key once, so copy it then.

  2. Connect your assistant

    Add Hink as an MCP server in your AI assistant, using the address below.

  3. Ask in plain words

    For example: "Send the export folder to my client and tell me when they download it."

Add Hink to your MCP clientmcp.json
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "hink": { "url": "[YOUR-MCP-URL]" }
  }
}

MCP is included in Pro and Teams.
